1. Make sure your source database is in archive log mode. 2. Begin backup all tablespaces in the source DB. 3. copy all datafiles in backup mode to the destination server. (via rcp/ftp or whatever you like..) 4. End backup all tablespaces in the source DB. 5. "ALTER SYSTEM ARCHIVE LOG CURRENT" in the source DB. 6. Copy the archive logs generated to the destination server. 7. Startup the cloned database with normal recovery procedure. i.e. startup mount -> recover database -> alter database open...
